Noah J. Lederman, from Orange County, California, is studying philosophy and ethics in the dual-degree program at Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary. He just completed his freshman year with a 4.0+ GPA.
Noah was selected to be part of a small delegation of Jewish college students that was flown out to Israel by Olami in June to bear witness at the sites of the Nova Music Festival and Kfar Aza massacres. There, Noah had the opportunity to meet personally with President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as well as speak at the Knesset with several other government officials.
In May, Noah was honored to attend some events in Washington DC for Jewish American Heritage Month where he was able to sit in on a security briefing at the White House and hear from cabinet-level officials and others on the government’s response to rising antisemitism in America. At the Rose Garden reception afterwards, Noah was able to connect with several prominent Jewish social media influencers and community leaders and share stories about the increasing antisemitism he had witnessed first-hand at Columbia.
This past year, Noah has been featured in several national news interviews on Fox and ABC and the Fox Nation special Antisemitism on Campus: Students Speak. His OpEd piece, Jewish Students Are No Longer Safe at Columbia University was published April in the Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz.
Noah is the president of the Columbia chapter of Meor and is active in AEPi, Hillel, Students Supporting Israel, and several other Jewish organizations. He is interested in a career in law and political consulting.
